International Higher Education Forum 2026
UK ENIC colleagues attended the International Higher Education Forum (IHEF) 2026 at the University of London between 6 and 7 May.
More than 300 higher education leaders, policy makers and practitioners took part in the two-day event at Senate House.
It featured keynote speakers, plenaries and breakout sessions covering topics such as research and innovation, student recruitment, transnational education and global mobility.
Zara Green, Deputy Head of Policy and Engagement for UK ENIC, said: “IHEF 2026 was a great event, packed with lots of knowledgeable, relevant and timely speakers, as well as a broad range of delegates and exhibitors.
“It was a good opportunity to speak to colleagues working in partnership, transnational education and international roles across all levels.
“The talks I attended focused on the impact of recent changes to the sector and the political elements surrounding international students including visa changes and how this affects those coming to the UK.
“Sessions also explored topics including how institutions could do more to celebrate the contribution and value of international students to the local area, as well as discussions around student drop-out rates, amongst others.”
