UK ENIC visits The Hague for REACH project update

01 May 2026

Representatives from UK ENIC met with international colleagues in the Netherlands recently, as part of a project called ‘Beyond Recognition: Enhancing Credential Evaluation Impact through Stakeholder Outreach’ (REACH).

Co-funded through the Erasmus+ KA3 NARIC call and co-ordinated by Nuffic, REACH brings together ENIC-NARIC offices, VET recognition centres and research organisations who are experts in credential evaluation across Europe and North America.

It aims to understand and measure how recognition services can best support individuals who are seeking appropriate employment in the EU and employers needing to assess foreign qualifications.

Jodie Duffy (Head of Research, Data and Insights) and Ellisa Marques (Research Engagement Manager) attended the meeting - at the Nuffic offices in The Hague in March - on behalf of UK ENIC.

Jodie said: “The meeting was an excellent opportunity to meet the Nuffic project team, MFHEA (Maltese NARIC), World Education Services (WES) Canada, Samenwerkingsorganisatie Beroepsonderwijs Bedrijfsleven (SBB) and Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB).

“The project team discussed research methodologies, case studies and experiences, while sharing ideas on how to effectively engage with stakeholders using recognition services.”

Ellisa added: “We also explored how the theme of stakeholder outreach extends into many other areas of recognition and mobility, such as professional recognition procedures and immigration processes.”

The meeting is due to be followed up with further discussion online at a later date.
