Four weeks to go until ENIC NORTH 2026

30 March 2026

There are four weeks to go until ENIC NORTH 2026, our one-day conference in Glasgow on Tuesday 28 April.

Held at the University of Strathclyde's Technology and Innovation Centre, the popular event brings together prominent voices in international education to address some of the most pressing issues of our time.

Building on the success of our recent conferences 'Insights for Internationalisation' (2024) and 'Innovation and the human connection' (2025), this year's theme will focus on 'Navigating change: shared challenges, collective solutions'.

We will share the full programme in the run-up to the event but, in the meantime, we are excited to share an early preview of some of the exciting sessions we have planned throughout the day:

  • International Education Strategy panel - this panel will consider what the refreshed UK International Education Strategy means for institutions and inbound learners, including evolving compliance expectations, enhanced support needs and the growing role of transnational pathways. Speakers will explore definitions of a 'quality student', balancing genuine intent and academic readiness with the wider contributions that international students bring to UK campuses and communities
  • Fraud (interactive lab) - this interactive lab will offer practical reflections on the counter-fraud landscape, as navigated by organisations operating within the international student sector. Through the use of sector-specific examples, attendees will be invited to reflect on how these methodologies and techniques can be adopted by their own organisations, and to consider how similar approaches can strengthen their own counter-fraud strategy
  • Developing successful international recruitment (interactive lab) - institutions face mounting pressure to sustain a diverse, resilient and successful international recruitment strategy in the face of changing market dynamics and evolving student expectations. This interactive lab will offer practical hints and essential insights drawn from real-world experience, using Latin America as a case study to explore opportunities, cultural nuances and common pitfalls

ENIC NORTH 2026 will be presented in association with IELTS and Skills for English. It will also be supported by Gecko and Oxford International Digital Institute

Lunch is provided at the event, and we will also be hosting a networking reception at the end of the day.
