UK ENIC gives South Asia perspective at UCAS conference

29 June 2026

UK ENIC attended this month’s UCAS International Conference in Manchester for the first time.

Chris Lyons, UK ENIC’s Head of Policy and Engagement, was invited as a speaker at the Provider Day event on June 18, which exclusively focuses on connecting and supporting international admissions.

He joined the ‘Market Spotlight: South Asia’ panel, which explored the current international student recruitment activities, challenges and future outlook, taking into consideration tightening compliance, financial pressures, demand, risks and opportunities.

Ben Singer, Deputy Head of International - Operations at the University of Greenwich, and Golam Mortuza, Founder and CEO of MH Global Group & AHZ Associates, were also on the panel with Chris. It was chaired by Felicity Lloyd, International Development Manager at UCAS.

Chris said: “We were delighted to have been invited along to the UCAS conference for the first time, which is testament to the positive engagement and a growing relationship between the two organisations.

“My role was to bring the UK ENIC perspective of South Asia, based on the number of applications to our services, volumes and trends in member enquiries. It was an insightful and enjoyable session, and I look forward to future possibilities.”
