UK ENIC represented at British Council sessions
UK ENIC was represented at two British Council events focused on international higher education, last month.
Colleagues from the Policy and Engagement team were among delegates from 22 countries attending the British Council’s Deep Dialogues event in London, which took place between 5 and 7 May.
The three-day session – called ‘Business as usual: leadership in international education transformation’ – focused on discussions between UK and international higher education stakeholders on the important themes shaping higher education.
It explored how to implement transformation strategies in the internationalisation of education including managing growth, upholding quality and standards, and diversifying portfolios.
Then, on 20 May, UK ENIC was invited to speak at the British Council’s Going Global Networking event, which took place at the QEII Centre in Westminster at the end of the Education World Forum.
Colleagues were joined by representatives from across the sector including AdvanceHE, Association of Colleges (AOC), Jisc, Office for Students (OfS), UCAS and UUKi, who provided an overview of their organisation before the networking began.
During the session, UK ENIC met with the Deputy Minister of Education for Albania, representatives from the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan, the Director of the British Council in Turkey and representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), based in Rwanda.
